ok any one out there with some ohlins front forks.
I need to know where about they sit in the yoke
if any one could look and see how far down the top yoke they are please. Use the bottom of the top yoke please as its flat unlike the top. Thanks K

Keefer, they normaly sit 4 rings down from the top face of the yoke at the lower level. That is the outter edge of the clamp section. But give or take a gnats nacker, shouldn't make much difference I would have thought.

Keefer, I run R&T's. From memory they run four rings, but I'll go and have a look tomorrow and get back to you. Might even be able to see it on the pics at www.jlawson.com/996

Top of the lower yoke, where the fork passes thru', to the top of the fork leg should be 244mm +/- 1mm.
Top of the fork leg is the spring cap, not the preload part.

When both legs are fitted, double check they are equal by laying a steel rule across the fork tops. You shouldn't see any daylight.

Ohlins R&T, three rings visible at rear of fork leg.

Nelly, is your response a std setting? As i understand it, the height od the fork legs in relation to the yoke is a personalisable thing for set up.

Andy, yes it's the "factory" setting of the fork height in the yokes.

Would that be the same height for a 999r?
