currently converting the 749s to a full blown track tool for next year :bouncy:

After trashing my current track bodywork at Rocky I'm on the lookout for some new plastics. I want to fit bodywork with an oil cathing belly pan etc - without a sidestand ( kept grinding the back of my sidestand at Mansfield all last year). Thing is the bike features an interlock that cuts the engine if you select a gear with the sidestand down. If I just remove the sidestand with its switch will the bike run in gear or do I need to fiddle with the wiring?

I know the obvious answer is try it but the bike is without wheels on stands with no tank / fuel pump etc. fitted at present.

Should have thought about this earlier!! :frog:

Any help appreciated!!

Ive sent you a u2u, just unbolt the switch from the sidestand when the stand is up, re connect it to the wiring leaving the rotational switch in the 'up' position.

And put a cable tie through it to stop it rotating back down.:)
