View Full Version : Too cheap 996???
Just came across this - is it me or should we steer clear???
I know it's yellow, and obviously that will drag the price down, but less than £2.5k???

does seem ridiculously cheap.
imho there is no such thing as a free lunch. and that appears to be one.
Seems unbelievably cheap.
The old saying applies 'If it looks to good to be true, then it probably is too good to be true'
Only thing i can say is the description sounds American with references to gas tank, kick stand, rear directionals etc. has the guy nicked the copy from a genuine ad (may be American of course).
May still be worth following it up to see if its genuine or a scam.
I've just asked him to confirm his price ... after all it wouldnt be the first time an ad got the wrong price on it :D
Definitely a shot of a bike somewhere in America.
Apart from the 'gas tank' references that BDG has pointed out, how many Brits have wooden clapboard houses?

The white building at the back of the photo looks very yankee doodle?
John booooooooy!:bouncy:
it must be America the sun is out.
Why do I get the feeling it's one of those
'just send me the money, with £200 for shipping, and I'll send you the bike' type things
Do the Americans think we are stoopid or sumfink?

Blimey. Elementary my dear Watson! Talk about detective work! Phew. Thank goodness. Was just thinking of knocking 70% off my insurance value when I renew in April. Well, 50%. Mine is red, after all. :bouncy::bouncy::bouncy::D
The guy's reply to the email I sent asking him to confirm his price was
