748 side stand

can anyone help please. my friend has a 748 and has difficulty putting down the side stand as she thinks the spring is too hard. can she get a softer spring or is there a modification that can be made to make it easier. thanks

Is it the stand that flicks up on its own which puts extra tension on the spring, if so then there is a kit available that stops it flicking up and makes its action lighter

No, she has difficulty kicking the stand out. not sure if its the spring or the fact that her legs arent long enough to do it properly

Louise had the same issue with her M600. So I had a small lug about 25mm long welded at 90 degrees onto the stand. Cured the problem. :)
