View Full Version : Dog tags
In case anyone's not sorted with tags yet...
My local cobbler type bloke wanted to fleece me for twenty quid to make a couple of id tags, so naturally being the tight fisted ****er that I am I told him where to hide them.
Much better supplier from the comfort of my squishy leather office chair was http://www.dog-tags.co.uk for lots cheaper.

Mine cost me 50p but that was in the last century
A piece of broken fairing panel and a length of lockwire doesn't really cut the mustard any more kev!

Pop into your larger local pet store, they have engraving machines to do name discs for your beloved cats & dogs,:o, a cheap way of getting it done.

I was in the process of ordering mine just then actually, and I was going to do this:
NAME
DOB
NEXT OF KIN
WIFE'S NAME
WIFE'S MOBILE NUMBER
What do you reckon?

Some of us will have to use 2 lines for our names ... isn't that right Dickie!
Those 5 lines I've put will sit on the tags from the place that Nick posted above.
But I kind of like the idea of having Desmo Due on it somewhere ...

Don't know it, I think I'm A+ but I'd have to have a test to confirm ... I could check my army medical records but they're in a box 24,000 k's away or so ....

Simply get yourself involved in an accident and ask the attending medic! - Sorted ;)

As our ACU trainer said - "I wouldn't recommend guessing it."

blood group is not really an issue, if you are chucking blood out by the bucket load they will just pump the most common into you and that will do the job. they will give you a test in situ to determine your exact match anyway. you may be a certain group but there are still varying degrees of match within it.

I asked my doctor for my blood group and he said they will not pump blood into you without a test it is too dangerous!! plasma is what they would put into you if needed whilst a type test was carried out and he pointed out that no circuit ambulance would keep anything other than plasma.

Ordered on Tuesday night, received today.
Cheap and quick, why asking for more.
Thanks NBs996 for this very good link.
So do these comply with 5.3 then?
"circular in shape, between 20mm and 25mm in diameter"

I'd've thought they'd be fine... they're asking for no sharp corners that might dig into ya. The oval ones should be ok with the rubber silencers.
You do make a good point tho Rally - I'll take mine up to cadwell at the end of the month and ask one of the scrutineers.
