In all fairness, the email has nothing to do with anyone but the actual riders themselves, which is the exact reason why it's not being posted on the web board.

While you lot may be interested in the content, it is of no relevance to you whatsoever.

... I am sure that this is not an attempt at a wind-up (Mr Bushell wouldn't be party to that - would you Chris?) however it does make certain folk wonder what's going on here. I'm not privvy to the 'secret' however I assume it must be something to do with agreeing on a rule change for the race series.

Not an ideal way to do it though IMHO.

And others get pulled through the mire for bringing the series/club into disrepute? You could have sent the DD individuals a group e-mail Chris, surely the organisers have got their details!!!! I don't think your comments above about "if he wants to know he can ask" are what we'd expect from the esteemed position you're casting them from!
Might be the sort of thing we'd get from Anthonye and his clique perhaps

How do you mean Henners? The email in question has been sent directly to those who it was intended for - surely there is no better way to do this?

Henners
31-Mar-2005, 13:05
Agreed Antony - but for those of us not in the know of the contents there was bound to be an element of 'what's that all about then?' Dickie said it best - if a quick response was required then a group U2U would have been the way forward - it's very unlikely someone would see this note on the board and not have access to their emails at the same time. It's not the content of Chris Bushells SECRET e-mail to Anthonyes self styled clique, but the way it's all been so publicly bandied around as if to deliberately draw attention to it all.
One of the original reasons for going behind closed doors was supposedly for this sort of public display to have been avoided, now thanks to Chris stating PUBLICLY that he's sending out SECRET e-mails (combined with Anthonyes deliberate baiting) that is putting peoples noses out of joint.
Especially when Chris himself states "He only needs to ask", if that's the case Chris then you can talk openly!!
The DD committee has got all entrants e-mails, names and addresses, they can all be contacted outside this public forum about "points" for discussion before their day in Norfolk so why do it in front of everyone here?

don't know what to say really, - bit confused.

The intention was not to be secretive, it was just to make sure that everybody knew that they had mail as some of the e-mail addresses are hotmail, - and perhaps like me they don't always have messenger signed in and sometimes I don't check it for a few days, - I even sent off a text message as I knew one of the riders does not look at the board, and checks is e-mail about once a week. We just needed an answer to a question relating to one of the race days, - my fault I said not for discussion on the board, as we wanted the riders uninfluenced answers to be fair to both points of view. It was all a bit of a rush, as we need to get out a press release with FINAL dates so as to get covered by the likes of Ducati.com and MCN.

I have phoned Mr Bushell but he is in a meeting when he comes out I will severely castigate him.

Folks,

Having been away on business for the last 24 hours, I come back to a sea of recrimination and vexation. I have to say that this has somewhat surprised me!

Whilst not going into the details of all of the whys and wherefores, we needed to get feed back on a particular subject from the DD entrants to resolve an issue with the series. It was agreed that in view of the fact that I was leaving within the hour the best way was to e-mail the participants and put this post up on the message board to make people aware that it was coming.

This subject needed a quick resolution and was certainly not an area that was suitable for public discussion, given that this is a public forum and in all honesty does not affect anyone except the entrants.

I hope that members of this Club appreciate that we do endevour to be as open and transparent as we can on most things to do with the Club; certainly we do not suffer with clique problems as some other Clubs I belong to do, but at times some discussion needs to be private.

The issue in question has now been resolved and I am giving it till 19.00 for any final suggestions to come in. I will be e-mailing the entrants with the result in the morning and that should be an end to the matter.

With this behind us we will be able to look forward to the 1st race in 4 weeks time.

Best regards

Chris
