Do you find it difficult to keep the front wheel on the ground? Sit a bit further forward and it'll handle a bit better...........:sing::sing:

stay with the 748 simon just add some quality bling if you want to spend some money or keep as it is and get more track time in and just enjoy the bike..dont get caught up in needing a bigger bike or carbon this or that...enjoy the machine as it is..its all you will ever need...........

Stick with improving the bike you've got

If you buy a new bike, it's just a more expensive platfrom to bolt stuff onto and you'll end up buying bling kit anyway...

Anyway, 748's rock the world. I recently had a 749R for a few hours, awesome bike, but not nice enough for me to be finding a spare 14K. (cos I'll not let my 748 go...)

Cant really beat a 748 once you've got it all sorted - find a good bike mechanic / dealer who knows Ducs and put it it for a full service and checkover - anything that is wrong can be fixed or replaced, and if looked after they are generally pretty reliable once a few niggles have been sorted out.

I havent ridden the 749, and am sure its a nice bike - but go outside now and look at the 748 - can you honestly tell me you're going to get a better looking bike than that ?

Simon, take the 748 into Nelly and let him sort it for you-top bloke, top mechanic for Dukes. Cornerspeed Mansfield, so not far from you. 01623 758877

Totall agree with the 748 plan.

Went to see a 749, bought a 748!

If its good enough for the Guggenheim Museum (New York) then its good enough for me.

Most evocative shape and sound ever to take two wheels - bar none!

You could always update the 748 to a later model if hell bent on spending some cash?

just a thought :D

:bouncy:

I’m up for ride-out now. Lets gooooo :burn:

What was it Kurtz (Marlon Brando) said in apocolypse Now?

"Sell the house, sell the kids..."

Ditch the mortgage and get a 999R WSB spec.

No, seriously if you want it and have the cash get it, this time next year you may not have the chance and will be kicking yourself.
Snooze and you lose.
