View Full Version : 998 brake hoses on 996?
In the process of replacing the calipers on my 996 BIP with 998 ones.
Obviously i need new brake lines so my question is - will 998 twin line ones be the correct length for my 996 or will i need to get set custom made?
cheers

ones for a 998 should fit OK,
I take it you mean your fitting 998S/998R calipers as the 998 Bip ones are the same as the 996 Bip.
Mastercylinders are also the same

So would you say that is was these ones;

and not these ones?

They are both two line ones and are the same price, so would the difference be the type/angle of fitting and/or the length of the line?

It will be the ones for the 998S, the 998BP 2-Pad calipers with the two retaining pins have the banjo bolt screw in from the top. the P4 4-Pad calipers on the 998S have the banjo bolt screw in from the side, which means the lines are a little longer and the Banjos are at a different angle

Thanks for the info. I'll order the S ones then.
