View Full Version : Mort's last journey
In a quiet but moving ceremony, Mort made his final journey to Cadwell yesterday.
His family made the journey from Leicestershire, and with a few DSC in attendance scattered his ashes in the woods overlooking Hall Bends.
RIP you owd bugger, you'll be sorely missed.

Yeah .. nice one .. a fitting tribute to Mort - I'm sure he would of approved!
Reading this from the other side of the world, I had to wipe a tear from my cynical old eyes.
You see, the last time that I ever saw Mort in person, and swapped the banter that he was always up for, was at Hall Bends watching the first DD race
RIP Mort, I will nod to you every time I ride through Hall
Jools, I think Cadders was the last place a lot of us saw him ... a fine man was the Morts .... RIP fella ......
Was lovely to meet his wife, son and daughter at Cadwell as well and they should be proud of him ......

It was an honour to be there with the family at Halls, we did manage a few laughs and a bit of banter just as if Mort was there with us, Id like to think he was. Im sure he would have been very proud of his family in this dreadful time of mourning, especially his daughter whom I found strenght from as she spread Morts Ashes in a befiting place , Hall Bends at Cadwell Park. 4D
