Since my 600 mile service i have been getting some weird throttle action, at first it seemed to tight so lubed the cable and greased bits where the cable runs was bit better then.

To try and describe is hard but ill give it a go, i have the throttle open slitghtly at low revs constant, then it seems to move as if it is slipping or something, like sliding past something but not actuating the fuel injection.

I have booked into dealer but its not till the end of the month and they said some sort of ptfe lube is used that is dry, how would it lube then :lol:

I have also losened the throttle cable to give more freeplay a bit better but still does the weird slipping thing:o:o

Dry "lubricants" are used in several situatuions.....
Talcum powder when getting a wet suit on...Graphite in dusty environments.....
Some oil based lubricants cause the nylonlining of thecableto swell, gripping the cable &doing the opposite ofwhat youwant.
Most cables these dayswere PTFE lined I thought, thus negating the need for lubrication.

Thanks Rush job,

Interesting since lubing and greasing mine though its better now, and the guy at dealer never said it was bad to lube it, so hope i not made it worse:(

Just the wierd slipping thing still going on, maybe to do with cable routing or something.
