I bought a second hand fuel tank, will this fit all models or are there different tanks for different models and years?

Assuming this is a 996 tank - it will fit all other 996's, 998's and 748's. If it has a fuel pump, there are some differences with the fuel unions on the earlier tanks as these were a banjo type connection and not the "snap-in" type that were fitted to the circa post '98 ones.

thanks tim. The guy i bought it from said it would fit my bike but I assumed it would fit all other models.
