I have just fitted my new tyres and 'forgot' to check which way the front wheel spacer went.

It has a thin shoulder on one side ( That I have next to the fork leg ) and a thicker shoulder on the other side ( That I have inside the wheel )

Is it fitted the correct way ??

I only ask because the front wheel does not seem to spin very easily, it does go round but not as freely as I would have though it should, it could have been like this before but I never tried it before taking the wheel out.

Thanks

I've just taken a looksie, and it's going to be tough to tell.

What I can see without taking my front wheel out, is the the wheel side the flange is almost flush with the seal (just a sliver showing) and the fork leg side there is about 4 mm. I would not be able to compare the two sides without taking it out. I think you should look at the wheel side and see whether the flange is proud of the seal or not.

Does that help? Is there anything else I can do?

HW, cheers you have confirmed that I have it in the correct way, the bit that you cannot see ( wheel side ) is about 20 mm wide which is inside the bearing and the fork side is about 4 mm.

Thanks Again

Nah, he means the loose spacer which could be reversed, not the wheel. It has a thicker flange on either side, one side thicker than the other.

You should be able to see a mark that the seal inside the wheel has made...........
