I've just tried to find out from passport website about signatorys for photos. Daughter Abi needs her photo replaced as she was 3 when it was taken so I need another one now her passport needs renewing.
I was going to ask her teacher which I did today but she said they don't sign passports but I read somwhere that they could. Had Doctor do it before but even they don't like to do it now.
I don't have much time left so need to get it sorted within the next week and I can't find the info I need ( ok read panicking).
Does anyone know what professions they class as 'of standing' please
:puzzled:
A police officer could do it... or someone in the millitary... a chartered engineer maybe...

I can do it but i've never met you..
Its a shame that the teacher doesnt know that they can counter sign a passport photo. Im sure I read that our Dr's charge £15 for them as do our solicitors.

:( all it is is Abi's renewal photo - she's changed so much. It was so much easier when the kids were just on my passport. At least that only had to get done every 10 years!

Teacher said they can but they don't do it anymore - I mean it's hardly a hard thing to do is it really ? These teachers have known all my kids and i've been going there for 15 years with one or other of them. Disapponting really. And only 6 weeks to go!
Teachers........................:P
Can't understand why the teacher don't want to do it.
I signed for someone a few years ago and it was just a case of getting a phone call asking me to confirm the applicant was who she claimed to be.
No probs.
Added: can't do it any more... don't ask!!

ive never been contacted post signing one of these............hell, i might not even be who i am!
I've signed quite a few of these being a civil servant, and I've never had the passport agency phone me, then again, they can look me up as with maybe Andy through your employer. Worth noting tho, the listed people also do need a passport themselves.
I know Hampshire Police (neighbour is a policeman) don't allow their staff to sign these, as my needed renewal last year, in the end, I got my boss to do it.
