Probably debated before but here goes.
Preparing my SS in January[and feb/march/april/may....] and can,t decide on the following.

1.The bike will be modified for the series and never go back to a roadbike. All bits not needed sold off,cut and chop as required etc.to the rest.

2.Keep all road gear seperate and buy s/h any parts i want to modify.Bike can be returned to full road spec for sale if required.

Is the bike worth more as a fully prepped race bike?

Your expert thoughts please:D

I didn't think they were worth a great deal anyway. Just as well sell the road gear and make a really sweet race bike that you can sell on to somebody to use another season, I'm sure it will be worth as much or more than a road bike :)

Keep it as stock as possible and sell it on as a road bike when you've put it back together. A lot more trouble in the long run but it's gotta be worth more on the road.

Why not sell the stuff you don't need now and if you really want to put it back on the road in a year or two just buy the bits you need?

If you race it and it proves to be a competitive machine I'm sure somebody would buy it as is.

Good luck either way!
