Just been out cleaning the bike:o and noticed my transponder in the tool box. I have none of the paperwork that came with it so I am unsure what to do. It has sat in the tool box since the last round at Cadwell. Should I keep it charged or flat? in order for it to work when we start again this season?

Mine is a rechargeable one that doesn't run off of the battery - if that makes sense. Its been run flat since Cadwell too.
Just charge it up a couple of days before the first round - it takes 12 hours or so for a full charge from flat.
Once its charged up and taken out it will work, putting it back in the charger-holder (without power) means that it's in sleep mode and so won't drain any battery power (or very little).

The instructions with mine say charge at least once a month.

Thought as much I will stick it on charge in the morning. Cheers

Mine actually says to fully discharge every three months. Presumably this is to avoid "battery memory" - where the battery actually reduces its effective power range by only using part of its capabilities.
I reckon you'll be fine, you have in effect discharged the battery fully and are now recharging it. Albeit with a wait in between!!!!

Hrmm, interesting. Spookily I found my transponder today as well. I may just give it a blast in the charger, just to keep it warm during the winter :D
