I'm using so much force it feels like something has got to break soon. Yes I'm using the right tools and have tons of leverage.
Is this nut revers threaded?? I can't find any docs saying so, but have to ask.
This mother fletcher is frozen!!
Thanks in advance,
Brian

Get down to Halfords and spend £12.99 on a 12 volt impact wrench. That'll sort it.

Ah, i see you are in the US so you might not have Halfords!!
I think that nut is on with 186Nm (corrected) so it will be tight :D
The Impact wrench would be a good idea if you can access to one !

I've already tried using my air impact wrench set at about 110 lbs (just about the wrench's maximum). All that did was bruise the nut.
I've got a quality clutch holding tool braced under the slider. Then with a long socket wrench pointed upwards I'm pulling while anchoring myself with the rear subframe.
I think I'm screwed (no pun intended).

How long is the bar you are using? the one I use is about 30 inches, needs to be at least about 24 inches. Don't worry it's not a reverse thread.

The manual says 186 Nm, which is about 137 ft lb. You are almost there!

OK thanks all. I'll give it another go this evening. If something goes snap, oh well. It's taking a lot more force than the rear wheel nut (which I've taken care of on regular occasion) which I thought is funky so I had to post my above question.
I had to use a 3 foot long scaffold pole:o

Got it off. It started moving right about the time I was yelling that it's mother is a *****. Never discount verbal abuse, it's very effective.
