Can anyone tell me whether a set of forks from a 98 injected 900ss(with 65mm caliper mounts) are fully adjustable?,or only for preload?
Thought I'd ask here as I'll get a quicker answer.
I'm sure I have a site that gives me all this information for all models and years but can I find it when I need it?
Thanks

Depends which spec' SS.

Yes and no. Some came with fully adjustable Showa froks - compression, rebound and preload. Some came with totally non-adjustable Showa or Marzocchi. I have 3 800ss bike...2 with and 1 without. I've seen 900's with the same.

The only time I've seen 900s with non-adjustable is on US spec 900 Sports, not Supersports. They also came with steel swingarms and sachs rear shock rather than showa. I've never heard of a uk 900 with this spec but you never know, the factory are famous for using what's available at the time!

Cheers,

I've seen two UK 900's of recent with non-adjustable forks. I can't say whether or not they were imports but, they were 2004 bikes...and this is when I thought the last of the 900's had Ohlins and 5-spoke wheels...probably more down to the vagaries of the factory I think

I had a '99 900ss(ie) with fully adjustable Showas. As far as I knew all the inj. 900ss's had these, and the 900 Sport and Darks had lower spec suspension (don't know exactly what though).
