My rear disc is trying to be a griddle.
After a brief 5 minute ride with pretty much only front brake action, the front discs were barely warm whilst the rear was sizzling.
It has been squealing a bit at low speeds but doesn't look worn.
Change the pads?, or is there more than meets my new(to this bike) eyes
Thanks

Might be best to take the caliper off and give it a clean first, cheque out the pads wile your at it. :puzzled::puzzled::puzzled:

Sounds like the pads are rubbing on the disc and not returning when the pressure is released.
As Eric said, whip the caliper off and clean it up.Smear a little Coppaslip grease on the back of the pads.

Also, check the pedal adjustment. Dunno about 999's but on my ST I had similar symptoms when my brake pedal was adjusted too far so that it didn't let the fluid back into the master cylinder quickly enough.

best put brake grease on the back of the pads not copper slip you dont want that stuff eating at your piston seals
