I am a new Ducati owner and looking for advice, I was out riding today and while sitting at stop lights the bikes idle starts to drop alittle then just cuts out. Restarts fine but does the same thing unless i give it some throttle?
The idle was set at about 1200-1300 rmps, I have since increased the idle a little to help stop this. Might there be a simple or common solution to this problem?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Without knowing anything about the bike its hard to tell really.
A well set-up standard or slighty modified bike will run sweet as a nut all day long.
My SP is a bit funny at tick-over know, but thats because it has a few mods, and is quite a 'characteristic' engine anyhow.
I would suggest you look at the basic fueling/mapping of your bike.
Does it have standard cans/chip/air filters etc.
If it does then it should run at all revs no problem.
If not then it may need setting up properly by a specialist in your area.
Throttle position sensor also springs to mind...although not to sure if that would give you the symptoms you describe?

Thanks Harv748....Well as for the mods on my bike as far as i know it was a stock bike until i put some termignoni slip ons, I have only owned the bike for 3weeks now and i am still getting familiar with the bike.
Thanks again for the input :puzzled:

Did you change the chip when you put the termi`s on???, if not you should do it as soon as possible
Give Neil a ring & he will sort you out with what you need http://www.cornerspeed.co.uk/
