Following yet another email (there have been many) of positive suggestions and useful information to a RC member - I got told off for not emailing the proper DD email address (like it made a difference) - yes that's right!

Not only that, but the RC member didn't like the idea that someone other than the RC tried to do something positive with DD, especially when they didn't think of it, AND, as I failed to run the idea of the rider profiles past this person before organising it all - I'm satans love child.

Anyway, I'm putting the rider profiles on hold.

We wouldn't want the commentator knowing what he's talking about now would we.

Also I just like to say a few apologies...

Sorry for promoting the DesmoDue series whenever possible.
Sorry for setting up the DD Forum, to take the bitching off this forum.
Sorry for setting up the DD Racer website to provide lots of really useful info on the series (which isn't on here!).
Sorry for getting the series (and club) on Wikipedia - and several riders.
Sorry for sorting out the Official Points spreadsheet (saving the RC the hassle)
Sorry for the publicity I have gotten the club through newspaper reports and BBC features.
Sorry for encouraging people to join the club and DesmoDue - fact.
Sorry for putting people off DesmoDue (apparently).
Sorry for listing the DSC as a 'Series Sponsor' on the DD Racer website and not as "the club that run it."

...and last of all, I'm sorry for driving a wedge between the club and riders (RC quote!).

I'm sorry.

DD could be so good as well. It's a shame. A big shame.

If thats the **** you're getting off the RC then no ****ing wonder we're bowing to New Era's every comandment at the minute, it's a load of toss BOTH ends of the stick it seems

Dom. I love you :D

In a brotherly way that is. Rise above it - this is what happens with all bike clubs of all persuasions and is why I will never be a paid up member again if I can help it. The politics and in-fighting gets to you in the end...personally if I was a member of the RC then I'd be all too happy to let you do the grafting

I wasn't going to bother offering any more ideas/contacts/experience after a previous email over the weekend, but then something came up today and I thought it could really benefit the series in a big way, so I emailed the RC and all I get back is more c***.

Personality clash I think, but hey, if it makes the RC happy to have me out of their hair at the expense of the series, then so be it.

I will just turn up and race from now on.

I look forward to seeing the series flourish next year, just like it has this.

You could always post the mail up for the rest of us to see. That might provide some hilarity ;)

I'd like to finish the series thanks.

Also to answer the RC member mentioned above (as I've had another email) I'm not going to name you as I think that would be seen as a personal attack - which this is not. I'm not suggesting you do FA either - Just pointing out that I've actually done quite a bit - and not been thanked for any of it (bar the points).

I'm done with trying to help. I'm just going to be a rider like everyone else.

Dom...I would be very surprised if you could be banned. Is there a rule that say you can be? Certainly, as a paid up member of New Era the RC can't touch you in that respect. This is all getting very silly.

Remember Dom..you can race almost any bike you want with any club you want elsewhere. But a race series without riders is no kind of race series at all ;)

can we have a management buyout? at the end of the day we are the riders and have the bikes so we have the most say.

i for one would like dom to leave the series for good, move me up a place so i'd be happy.

i have no idea whats going on but i see no harm in people trying to help the series along. dom has done more than the vast majority of us put together to promote DD.

As a sponsor of riders and teams within the DD series I say you've done a great job and I thank you. I would have liked my company name spelt correctly on the Assen programme but that's not your fault :)

I disagree.............there is nothing to name and shame....maybe two opposing views is all.....................

we should be looking to promote the DD in a positive light not dragging the DSC board into the depths of a visordown post by naming and shaming.?...

For all the growing pains the DD is an amazing series and has acheived a huge amount in its short life..and thats thanks to ALL involved..........

we cant all agree and we all have opinions on how and what is best for the DD.......................but we should all agree we want the DD to be the best it can be........................

can we go race yet cos surely thats the important thing.>?

The issue appears to be the way that Dom feels he's been treated by a member of the DD RC - not the race series as such. It would be good if a member of the RC or MT responded to Dom's issues in a positive way so that the matter can be resolved without losing him to the series and the club.

i dont think Dom leaving is the issue is it.?.........Dom from what i read suggested he would just get on with racing and not embroil himself in the politics or the suggested running of the DD...Perhaps that is a wise move and if we as riders have issues, direct them through the elected RC members Tim and or Kevin.?....

Dom give up a sponsored ride.........i doubt that 100%...dom is a racer and will get on with racing......

Many share Doms frustrations at times, im merely suggesting that we get on with racing or poll our issues via the Elected class reps if thats possible.??..other wise are they not redundant.?

sure have debates and discuss the DD online but i see no " positive " outcome to the suggested " name and shame " not that there is any shame to be attributed.?

You're right Phil - Dom leaving isn't the issue - it's the way he says he's been made to feel that's the issue. I agree there's no 'name or shame' situation however a grievance has been aired on the club messageboard and it would be helpful if a response from the RC/MT was forthcoming.

Two sides to every story and I'm not taking either.....

Dom has made a number of significant contributions and so have all the members of the RC over the last two years. WELL DONE ALL.

If anyone would like to contribute positively to the series then please offer your services.

It's easy to sit back and criticise people who have, in the past, currently and in the future, demonstrated a positive contribution to make to what is a great series.

I would not be racing and will not race without the DSC or DD.

Yes there are two side and we're waiting to hear what the RC/MT has to say to Dom's complaint.

Yes - everyone has contributed to greater or lesser extent - that's not the point here.

Dom has got off his ass and done a lot to promote DD and to support both the club and the series so he has offered his services and now feels unvalued and rebuffed. I don't believe anyone is being criticised however Dom is clearly upset at the way he feels he's been treated.

I wouldn't be a race sponsor if it wasn't for DD or the DSC.

A problem doesn't go away just because it's ignored - it will rumble on and resurface each time there are further issues. Time this was sorted.

IMHO

Sorted maybe..??...dom seems quite happy about it now..see other thread........

and sorted it may well be .. just not on a public forum.?.......where it will acheive nothing...!!

im not supporting either side just dont see the point of thrashing it out in public view.........just gives fuel to the trouble makers................and that does nothing to support the DD ..!!..........

I mean please " can everyone just get along ".................if not just go racing.?

As an interested spectator and DSC club member it is seems clear that Domski is an enthusiastic support and competitor in DD but the other side of that is the "Super model girlfriend" levels of maintenance that come with that.:D

Yes Domski does add something to the series but at what cost to those that are expected to do the maintenance?

Think on

Ray.

Dom you have done a great pr job way beyond what anyone would have thought for the series.
Instead of the mentioned emails or pms going behind the scenes maybe the club should be patting you on the back for all this, I will anyway:cool:
We need to move forward and maybe the RC could offer olive branch and you can all 3 (you for the dd pr stuff, with Paul & Monty doing their bits) & work together with the rider reps to look ahead for next year.

if not, you can take your sorry backside and scarper:lol:

I think that is an incredible shame, actually Dom. It's the DD site that I always go to for information, as a fan, and there's absolutely nowhere else to get it. The PRONTO is always months behind the actual events and no other information is disseminated about the racing in a way that ordinary mortals like me (i.e. not a DD racer) has access to.

Don't let them grind you down, though. They should be apologising to you.

(keep an eye on my 'member's logo' on here - I'm expecting it to be removed momentarily)

Looking forward to supporting all the DD riders at Donington :)

I just get the impression that politics rule the roost and its the riders that get shafted.

That's pretty much the case with racing at all levels. Put it this way - the ACU and other organisations including circuits and quite a few clubs don't give a damn about racers....we manage to race inspite of them.
