What sort of bars do you have.....you could get a plug turned to interference fit in the top end with a threaded hole in its centre to mount a bracket......

Just get some slightly longer brackets made up and position them as they are normally. Also longer hose, available from JHP and new clips make the job spot on.

Below were just temporary, but you get the idea.

I used original bracket and reservoir, bolted to one of the handlebar clamp bolts (use a longer allan bolt). You will need a longer hose to reach the reservoir

Picked myself up two screw cap Brembo brake reservoirs last weekend for £10 off the A&R paddock van and then got 2 foot of hose off DTRs paddock van as A&R didn't have any on the van.
DTR also do the Reservoirs but as A&R provided the BBQ on Sat evening I thought I'd let them have my custom

Both front brake and clutch reservoirs are mounted to the mid portion of the top triple clamp. Works like a charm!

basically - on my 748/853 - I drilled two holes and fabrictaed an aluminium post to hold the reservoirs on the Top Yoke.

On my 999s I have gone a slightly different (tidier & oem look) route as you can see from these pics - the end of the handle bar is left open - no plug - I then bought two bar end mirrors from Motrax - removed the mirrors (keeping all the brackets) and then mounted 2 reservoirs which are the same size as the rear brake reservoir(cant understand why you need such a big reservoir as the standard one anyway) and bingo - looks really good - no mess no fuss and most importantly - ITS FULLY ADJUSTABLE - cause you know how important that is to us Ducati owners!!!!

LOL!

Hope this helps!

The mounting angle of the reservoirs is crucial in so much as they dont want to be in the same plane as the top yolk. When the vehicle is stationary and upright with the steering dead ahead..the max mark on the reservoir wants to be level with the ground to give an accurate full measurement.

plus i wouldnt want to drill or damage the original top yolk either.......

Thats why (drilling top yoke + reservoir angle) on my 999s I went the FULLY ADJUSTABLE route!!!

Everyone who has seen them say that they look very trick and "are they oem" etc etc

In any case - never had any issues with either setup - the actual amount of fluid that passes into and out of the sytem is almost zero once bled properly!

June 30th 2003 - lowsided @ Rockingham
July 1st 2003 - bike kindly shipped to Riverside
July 3rd 2003 - me kindly shipped to hospital with detached collarbone
July 31st 2003 - bike rebuilt
July (cant remember) 2003 - both rebuilt and back on track @ Rockingham

April 2005 - trundling down the M5 - the big end shells decided to launch themselves - sadly the 853 RIP!

May 2005 - the arrival of a new 999s - very nice!
