Where can I get two "Ducati 996s" decals for the tail piece?

try your local Ducati dealer I would think??

if not standard I think there are a couple of guys who do them on here...

I have seen various kinds of sticker kits on ebay for most Ducatis

I had some custom stuff done by Ryan "revdecal" from this board - he was great to deal with and did a fantastic job.
