So much for the Amnesty Thread Idea (http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/showthread.php?t=37947) then.
Can someone from the MT please explain what is going on and why these members have been kicked out of the club?

well tbh the amnesty has been broken by whoever posted this thread.?..and maybe MW and Butch can explain why.?..and have they been " kicked " out.?

I think it may have been broken by whomever kicked these guys out of the club don't you think?
Lets get some clarity on what the hell is going on in here - someone from the MT please?
WTF? What site? Not DD racer forum?

Quite possibly but i dont think the forum is the place to debate an emmotive issue such as this...hence why the 18th is in place....
lets hope MW and Butch attend and then we can ask them why the have been " kicked " out that is indeed if they have.?........

Well .. I don't want to get into an argument with you over this but if the amnesty hasn't been respected, and we're still waiting to find out what happened, then why not use the forum? If they have been kicked out then there's a distinct case of double standards going on so why should we just shut up?
The 18th would have been the place to deal with this issue, I believe, and I'm disappointed that it looks as though that hasn't been the case.

But it wasnt the MT or the RC who ask for the Amnesty!!! it was some of the racers.
so really they dont have double standards..

ok .....
There are two sides to every story and it will be interesting to hear both...until then we are perhaps making a judgment based on heresay conjecture and rumour..not the foundations for a sensible debate.?.....
I mean we dont even know if they are " banned "....maybe instead of CK postin up Butch or MW should.?...at least then its from the horses mouth so to speak.?
But it wasnt the MT or the RC who ask for the Amnesty!!! it was some of the racers.
so really they dont have double standards..
So then there's no reason to adhere to the farce it is then.
to be honest the reaction from the MT/RC was pretty much as expected. we'll do what we want regardless of general opinion and fcuk everyone else.
how do you know that..??....based on what.???...based on a post by Butch on racer website.?..thats one side of the story..?
Fil, I am sorry if you are offended by my post:(
I merely typed what Butch himself had posted - he had received a letter, and the contents said that his membership was terminated.
I am just upset that 2 close friends are no longer able to race, as they are no longer able to be members. They would not be able to attend this meeting on Sat, as this is only for members.
I dont think this is a 'petty item' or a mere 'trifling issue' and that this is something that some other people from the paddock would want to know.

and asking for 2 sides of a story will as you are very well aware be quite inflamatory.
Leave it as an informational post: that they are no longer in the club.
Leave the questions till sat?

Im not offended at all.........
I dont support either side if there are sides....!!!.......i just want to see a level playing field and all the facts known before we all kick off using half truths etc........Ie did Butch and Mike have an opportunity to appeal...could they have remained members in some way..meet on common ground.???..all these things we dont KNOW...........
gather the FACTS then make an informed comment ..!..

I agree with Phil. It’s very admirable to stick up for friends based on their perception/angle of an event, or set of events.
And any management team wouldn’t hang somebody else’s dirty laundry out for all to see.
Based on the diverse spectrum of the DSC management group I would trust that they have made whatever decision they have made for the good of DSC as a whole, and that any major decision to oust members, if that’s what has happened, wouldn’t have been made lightly.

A statement from the MT regarding these matters is included in Pronto which is being posted today.
Eamonn
Obviously we don't know the whole story here but it would have to be something really bad to oust these two stalwarts of the club. Suppose they'll now be blamed for everything that has been wrong with this club for the last year or so.

i think that would be wrong....
i still believe the meeting needs to go ahead and discuss issues etc from DD this year. As lets be honest, (even though what they did was wrong IMO) they did it because of problems within the series and these still need to be looked at and resolved for the coming season.
I can only see this decision making the series stronger.
what by losing 2 racers?
and 2 who wanted to improve the series?
yep it will suit those who 'run' it. not many of the racers themselves i guess.
how.?...........

If you wanna discuss it fella, drop me a pm and i'll ring you with my thoughts.
:( It'll be interesting to see the official statement. Are these the only two gone after the Cadwell meet?
oh i dont know cant be arsed to go into it all but to me that is what they wanted to do but were not allowed to by the people that run it. same as pretty much any suggestion that is made if it doesnt come from the RC then its deemed to be **** and any attempt to help is just thrown out. they do what they want when they want because they dont want anyone else getting involved.
PLEASE drop this dickie.
Its just another thread spiralling downhill, and will get pulled, as what you think happens is only your opinion, not what actually happens.
In all 'disputed circumstances' there are THREE sides (at least)
- what one side experienced
- what the other side experienced
- what ACTUALLY happened (which most people forget cos they take sides too quickly)
- and often what OTHER people experienced is different again

So what do we do then? Just bury our heads in the sand?
Just want to say that I agree 100% with Dickie's words and sentiments. I haven't always seen eye to eye with Butch or Mike, but they were the only people to stand up and do something positive about the elements of the series that needed working on.
It's very, very sad to see what this is doing to the club, and doesn't reflect well on anyone's ability to ensure good ideas get the attention they deserve.
This is the first time I've made any comment on a DD issue since Cadwell, but there's a limit to how long you can bite your tongue.
Barring a miracle on the 18th I'll be pulling out of the series.

why cant people respect other peoples views? if you want to race, race if not dont.
...they were the only people to stand up and do something positive about the elements of the series that needed working on.
Sorry fella, I think it was very negative.
And I'm finding it hard to understand why people are threatening to pull out of the series in protest - the decision to dismiss the two members, weather we agree with it or not, was made by the MT which WE elected to make these decisions on our behalf. We have to accept it whether we agree or not. Pulling out of the series as a protest only threatens to f**k it up for those of us who just want to race, thanks... not!
There was not a single meeting over the past seasons where the RC did anything to prevent us participating. So what's all the moaning about? If you want to race, then race... if you want to RUN the series then put yourself up for election to the RC - there's no middle ground.
Let the managers manage, and let the riders ride.

Thanks for the comments Nick. I don't agree with them, but I'll save discussions for the 18th.
For clarity, it's not my intention to do any damage to the series and it's a great shame that you think that would be my goal.

I don't think that's your goal, but I'm considering that it may be the result.

Wasn't MW on the original RC and also in from day one in defining the structure and ruloes for the first season of DD, was he also not eased out of there as well as he wouldn't tow the family line ??
The lunatics are running the asylum, and I'm sure Butch and MW would have loved to have attended on the 18th but as "non members" they aren't welcome ...
Goodwill towards the DSC diminishes by the day, it's quite sad really.
