Wot you running yer 999 on pressure wise? It says in the book 2.1 +2.2 bar front and rear respectively.
Whats that in the real world of psi?
And, how do you find the right pressure to suit your riding style?
oh and do you think my 999r rims need more pressure to protect them as they are the lightweight forged jobbies?

30/32 if my calculations are correct and it works for me, road and track, don't know if body weight makes a difference, as I am a bit of a FB:lol:
Are you on a 190 rear FB ;o) cos tween u and me , im an FB aswell...

to get psi
2.1 x 14.5 = 30.45 lb per sq.in
2.2 x 14.5 = 31.9 lb per sq.in

Its just my rear was nearly 40psi as delivered!! and my front 36. Now my guage is calibrated so i believe its correct!!!
I thought this was high so i dropped the pressures to 34psi, and now it seems a bit loose! sort of squirmy.. understand wot i mean?
Front 30psi
Rear 32psi (180)
Feels ok to me.Just had some Dunlops fitted and the front end seems a little more harsh compared to the OE Mich's.Stiffer sidewalls maybe?
i am running on 34/36 at the moment (on OE Pilot Sport)...have to say its a bit harsh and nervous...

I was just checking out the tyre range on the Bridgeston web site and they quote 36psi & 42psi or 2.5bar / 2.9bar for the 999 on 010's.
So how do you decide on the right pressures with the bike mfg quoting 1 set of pressures and the tyre mfg another especially if you take into account insurance type issues.
The bridgestones are a bit lighter, I run em high (36 & 42) and they are great. I have Dunlops on the 888 (not for long) and I am experimenting with the pressures, currently 34,36 so they warm up really quick and seem to hang on, that said, they do get pushed around on dodgy surfaces. Harder at the next ride.
