Stole this from over on Ducati UpNorth :)

Top 100 albums game.... take one away(have another go)
till we have just one left

so the idea is you state the album you want to remove from the top 100 albums of all time and if you can be bothered say why

you then copy the list below minus the album you want to remove

and then the next person has their go and does the same until we are down to one Album.... the best one.... or the least hated

edited - once you have 5 replies/knock outs after you've deleted one you can have another go http://www.ducati-upnorth.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

Even though my son's name is also Chris Martin I'm not showing any mercy. Good job you've got a parachute Coldplay 'cos you'll need it on the way down.

And don't look so smug Bob Dylan, you can't play guitar, you've got a nasty whining nasal voice that can't sing in tune and your songs are boring...you're next on my list of albums to cull

Then the shoegazer bands....Mwaaaaaahhhaaaaaaahaaaaaahaaaaaa

Oi you lot...how did The Pixies get back into the two threads above when they were taken out by Scooter 916? Cut and paste from the post directly above perlease.

I've taken 'em out again, but that wasn't my go because you'se 'ave committed the equivalent of potting the white...so I get my own go as well

And that means you Bob Dylan ya talentless bastid, how you got to be where you are today without all your followers being drugged out of their heads in the '60's...oh, wait...

This is great therapy, but WTF......Dark Side of the Moon is the best album of all time bar none....gutted. There is still utter sheeyte on this list and Dark Side is off, that's just not right

Swannymere, I need to suss out something you like so I can exit it!!!!!!!!!!

Like a game of chess this.

It's going to get difficult later on though isn't it...who is going to be the first person to shoot a Zeppelin album down?

Agree with you about Graceland though WJB, I know all the bass lines to that as well*, great album to do a bit of fretless twiddling on....

*apart from that backwards bit on "you can call me Al"

Oasis What's The Story (Morning Glory).....bunch of complete layabouts pretending to be hard men and running behind their security guards when the going gets tough...oh and their singing is whinie and irritating too! Should still be on the social smoking roll ups!

U2 - Actung baby. Like an old lump of truffled brie, they started sublime but had definitely gone rancid by the time the trotted out this turgid pap.

ps: does anyone know who Carol King is? She's hanging in there but I have a feeling it's more to with lack of enemies....

You're both in need of some musical education... back to school!

Its just the wrong AC/DC album - pre Johnson (the geordie fop) was by far the best, in the Bon Scott era; If you want blood, TNT, Powerage, etc, etc.....it all went a bit soft after Highway to Hell.

Velvet underground won the last time! Surprised to see Physical Graffiti still in there when the other Zep albums have gone? Likewise with Nirvana still having In Utero whilst Nevermind went ages ago. Bowies doing well though!

Have you no shame!!! You've gotten rid of the greatest lyricist ever and now the greatest guitarist ever!!!!

Apologies, it was Nick (the ginger heathen!) who got rid of the greatest lyricist ever!

Theres still one in there that made the last 4 the last time.
