I think the most common choice for a monster is 748/916/996 fairings. Either full fairing or just the top and a belly pan (race belly pan so must hold so many litres of oil if it goes wrong).

As for sources..

DSC Post on stuff for newcomers (http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/showthread.php?t=77817)

Theres a couple of shops on flea bay that specialise in race fairings if you fancy something a little different.

See the link that Ells posted above (as you're not the first to ask!) BUT just about anything can be made to fit with a little bit of ingenuity (and cable ties and duct tape!).

I've previously had a Triumph race seat unit on my 600/620 SS as it was less than £30 off ebay. Seat units from an RS250 are also quite a good fit too.

Put it on, mark it in pen, attack it with a saw and try it. Keep going until it fits!

Half the fun is having something different from everyone else! ;)

I had an R6 seat unit at home you can have which was given to me. You may be able to make it fit your monster.

othewise like others I use a cut down 9** head fairing and a belly pan

I'm in the same predicament, but with a 620 sport. I saw a few really nice bikes faired with 848 fairings - I think that might be the way forward for me. I've been informed that it might be worth getting a race fairing bracket to aid fitment. Don’t know if this is the case for monsters.

The bracket does aid fitment on the SS (I had a carbon one). Buy 2 though because it will be a case of "when" not "if" you crash yer gonna need a spare.

New design Paul, "Sand as you go" saves on those initial fitting problems.

Not got anymore pics & the bikes not here!

The seat fits quite well & follows the frame rails so dosn't look out of place & you just grind it to the shape you want around the tank.

It has always struck me as odd that when racing in a Ducati series on a Ducati bike, why stick Japapanese bike fairings on your Ducati????

Just keep repairing the hole from the inside till you crash:lol:

I cut 60mm out of the middle of my 1098 bellypan and rejoined it to make it narrower.

(after it came off on the cooper straight at brands!)

Just been looking at more photos of the seat unit fitted and it doesnt fit too good on tank and you can still see the rear subframe.

best fitted I've seen, other than the real Monster race seat, is the ZX10 fitted on Rons. Think it was cut a little to fit tho

That's what I'm thinking but is it a 06/07 seat or 08 onwards that's the next question ;)

Found on dave woods website that's it's 2009. ;)
