Used fuel cell foam before, its just open cell foam prevents sloshing of the liquid.

make a difference? thinking 9l sloshing about a 17l tank it may be worthwhile, not sure how much weight it adds

Doesn't add much weight, I have a decent sized lump of it in the garage.

I doubt if Dallas has had a race bike where he hasn't fitted the baffle foam, I think but would need to check that its a requirement at BSB level and above

I'm pretty sure they have to use it in 848 challenge too.

Yes they do infact any BSB level have to use it.

Glad you knew what I meant Chaz, hence the wording 'BSB Level' and not 'BSB Class'

so its a good thing then

lots of small blocks or one big one? How much?

skidlids

You will end up cutting it into blocks to get it into the tank, what size blocks depends on the tank and its entry points

so do you fill the tank, half fill it, 1/4?

my simple mind wonder how the fuel gets out again!

Gravity I would imagine Paul, Just been looking it up myself now you have mentioned it. Seems a great addition whilst my tank is off the 996 and the pump is out. Push it in and mould it in it says.
· ELIMINATES FUEL STARVATION UNDER HARD ACELLERATION, CORNERING AND OFF ROAD SITUATIONS.
· ELIMINATES FUEL FROTHING.
· REDUCES RISK OF EXPLOSION IF TANK CATCHES FIRE.
· REDUCES THE DISCHARGE RATE OF FUEL SPILL IF THE TANK IS RUPTURED.
· ELIMINATES FUEL SLOSH AND UNWANTED WEIGHT TRANSFER GREATLY IMPROVING RIDER STABILITY WHEN ITS NEEDED MOST.

the red one.......

seriously tho, do you squash it all in so it totally fills the tank and you can see it with the cap off?

I usually pack it in using the biggest Chunks I can squeeze through the hole, although the size does depend on where in the tank they sit as sometimes the front of the tank can be quite shallow

Is there a UK supplier of this or similar?

Merlin Motorsport based at Castle Combe use to sell it, not sure if they still do.
Otherwise you can usually find it sold on Ebay

Oh yeh?
Take the fuel pump out and stuff in from underneath.

Cubes are good - the ones I bought are here;

sorry but no one has said if you fill it to the top - ie you can see it with the cap off...

Used to be able to see it from the filler hole on my 1098S dont think it makes that much difference on a DD bike unless your filling your tank to the top, natuarly any petrol not in the foam will slosh around
