Just wondering what you guys rev your bikes too. My little bike doesnt have a red line indicated on the rev counter, so can I rev it all the way? Surely not.

try and change around 9500, 10k max, as I know where the power goes after that. Seems to react best and give better drive at teh lower revs too

Trouble is it cuts the power when you hit it
Why they invented Shift Lights :p

at 8250 the power peak drops of rapidly you wont get any more, time to change gear or change engine .its the torque you need to accelerate which equates to power per revolution and its all over after 8250,

Dave that's ok on a B but A doesn't make make power til 9k or more.

Limiter on mine comes in about 11 I think, certainly after 10.5 as its still got 50+ up at that point

I aim at 9500 tho, engine seems to like it and sounds about right

After looking properly at my dyno charts I can now see why you'd rev to between 8 and 8.5. On my bike the power doesn't increase after that. Thanks for all the replies. Job done. Next job is to work out what to rev too on the start line! Case closed!!
