or even yellowisfriedegg...........................

I have a Ventura rack for my 749R , excellent piece of kit , half an hour to fit tops

It just bolts to the main frame at the same points as the subframe using spacers and longer bolts , highly reccomended :D

Isn't there a slight hiccup with Termis and fitting the Ventura? It can be done but there's a problem with clearances?
Or maybe I dreamt that.

I have a Ventura rack on my 999S Bip. Slight problems fitting mine but got there in the end.

I've just rang the 'Ventura' importer in The Netherlands to get some specified information. As it is a rare product they could not give the necessary confidience..

Because mine is a monoposto version you are not enable to use the passenger footrests. I'm a bit afraid the complete construction will become a bit instable and even worse will cause damages to the paintwork.

@ yellowisfriedegg; do you have detailed pictures of your Ventura. Did you use different bolts and spacers to keep the rack away from the paintwork?

Would it matter having a Termignoni fitted on my bike?

My bike has a termi system fitted too , the Ventura rack for the mono bike is completely different to the one for the bip model.

There is no problem with clearances , the spacers and bolts come in the bag with the rack.

I will take photo's tonight if I get time.

If you are having problems with the importer in the Netherlands , phone Motohaus in the UK :

Here is another photo showing the mounting points and spacers , the rack is mounted from the main frame / subframe mounting lugs only , no load is put into the subframe unlike the bip version.

The rack can only be positioned as shown , unlike the bip version which can be positioned facing either backwards or forwards depending on if you have a pillion passenger or not

Thanks for the pictures!

If I'm right you have taken the 'sport' rack instead of the 'pack'rack. Is there enough space to put a bag for a couple off days away? Or have you also bought a bag from Ventura?

Yes , that is the sport rack , I also have the large rack and bag that replaces it if you need to carry more , I think the bag capacity is 50 litres :D

I have bought and installed today the Ventura luggage rack. Beside the wrong bolts, too short, it was easy to install. It looks well built and stable.

So, I am happy! :sing:

Still three weeks before departure to the Alpes, but watch out here I come!
