I mean Ducati, or any other team wouldn't drop a factory rider without already having a replacement would they? Not at GP level surely.

last weeks rumour was they have offered a certain Spaniard a lot of money to ride for them..................

He'll still not beat valentino though :sing:

Yeah heard that, and I hope not, he's not exactly set the world on fire has he, just got some big $$ behind him.

Yep - Ducati are looking at running Capirossi and Telefonica in their two man team ...

I can't think of anyone I'd like to see go on it! Maybe Edwards?

I think Troy is coming back to Superbikes:-

Dear Leonard,

I've been forwarded your message about Bayliss.
You can be sure there is no politics behind the decision, and we do
not want to blame the riders for a difficult year. You're right,
the bike was difficult at the beginning of the year, then it got
better with the Twinpulse but still need further improvements. I'm
really keen to Troy, but our analysis shows there are faster riders
in MotoGP, and our job is to try the achieve the best result best
for the company and for you guys. I know is difficult to accept,
and many will not agree, but you can be bloody sure it was a
difficult decision and was taken just with the aim of improving our
performance. Troy has been offered a ride in Superbike, where I
think his talent will make him a sure winner.
I hope this at least explain something on you side.
We still have to take anyway the final decision.

Thank you for understanding,
Claudio Domenicali
Amministratore Delegato / Managing Director

I, like most will be sad to see Troy leave the GP team.

But we have to remember that for the last 7 years he's been riding Ducati's finest race bikes on some of the world's (and Britain's) best tracks and has a very good standard of life to show for it - so it ain't that bad really, I think most of us would like to have been in his position.

Go whup them in WSB Troy, then quit on a high.

I'd like to see Haga on the Ducati, but will probably be an American if the Parent Company has a say.

Looks like Hopkins with Baylis moving to Satsuma. Personally I'd like to see him back in WSB as things aregoing to be a bit tougher next year with the rice burners making more of an appearance.
