Antony, you're right................but up until these rule changes, the cans had to have the BS or E4 marking on them. That's not the case anymore. Putting a dodgy BS stamp on your Termis is no longer a way around the rules. It was before................. |

The real danger now i think might be that if you do get stopped and attempt to argue your case you may well end up having to prove that your can meets construction and use regs. If its hasnt got the apropriate stamp on it then you will have to send it away for testing at your own expense. Hmmm... |
The noise bits interesting as I`ve been pulled a few times for the pipes on my jota which are standard. When I pointed out to the officer that the little plate riveted to the fram proved that the pipes conformes to the international ratification of silencers when the bike was built, then there legal!!!! he was very upset and told me that in his profesional opinion they were to loud and therefore illeagal!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to say though that on full chat it has a very nice distinctive sound. |
