To me it looks like you have to cut your botton pannels where they bend under the bike. The new belly pan has a lip that fits agaist the inside of your panels so you can drill and bolt them together . From the outside it should fit flush.

I think anyway:cool:

I love the look of that belly pan and want it really badly but im not so sure about cutting my bodywork. Does anyone know an after market place who sell the complete kit?

I found this from Ducati ( if you want to cut your stuff)

Lily,

The belly pan is an add-on but is mighty expensive if buying from Ducati.

If you didn’t want to cut the lower fairing, and I wouldn’t either, you can buy the left and right lower half fairings for a 998s, and the carbon belly pan from the 998s and hey-presto…!

Or you can buy two full fairings and the belly pan, as comes standard on the 998r. I think casoli do some fibre-glass moulds for about £300.00 – I think.

The first option will set you back the best part £600.00 from Ducati, but they will be the proper bits and come painted (expect the belly pan).

Hope that helps.

Yellow forever.

Fras.

Looking closely at the pics and knowing the casoli offerings, looks like the 1 piece carbon (or pseudo carbon :D) side panels and belly pan that casoli do with the carbon DUCATI and 748R showing through but they aren't 1 piece they are 2. Very nice they are too imo. You can also see the 998 style vents in the top part of the fairing (you know the cut out parts by riders knees) which I didn't think the 748R had but casoli panels do have. It's also got the casoli single seat with the carbon showing through.

Harris do one that fits the original fairings with no need to cut them. It slides inside the original fairing at the front, and then fits flush allong the rest. Bloody expensive though at £250 odd! :o

Hi Lilly, an old post I know but what did you decide on?

I'm just about to dress my 748r with 998r panels (with the undertray), will need to cut the rocker cover hole into the v piece, am interested if you found an easier option to get that undertray look!

Has anyone else put an undertray on a 748?

Thanks in advance.

Mark
