Chicken - I'd say it's all a bit tongue in cheek, but it's more the fact that Carlos has replaced Troy the boy that bothers people, and that the general feeling is that Troy is a better rider, who, on the same bike would achieve better results than CC. No doubt if he puts it on the podium we'll all be having huge lumps of humble pie and cheering him on - just can't see it. |
I think many peeps liked Troy's riding stile [all or nothing] that they have found it a bit difficult to come to terms with the fact that he is gone. I have no doubt that Checa is a top rider and I am sure he will do all he can do to put the Ducati to the top of the pile. Therefore he gets my backing, and if I am ever privileged enough to meet him then I would like to offer my support. I'm sure Troy has crashed just as often as Checa and as I said in another post Checa got moor points this year. |

its really all light hearted imho. im pretty sure if carlos read it, it would be like water off a ducks back. no one on this board would question the talent or bravery of any gp rider and im pretty sure all of us want to see ducati's on the podiums regularly. as with any sport if you are at the top you have to stand up and be counted. we all want ducati to move forwand in motogp and hopefully their desicion will prove to be the right one. |
It’s ok chicken the MT have made note to ensure that dickieducati and his mates are not on DSC/Ducati events next year  I did move it out of the DSc topics though. It is light hearted, the reality is that clearly whoever wrote it has no understanding of the Ducati setup with Corse being a separate company, and also by the sound of it had never heard of Ruben Xaus and what he did for 998/999 spares production!! ;) |
