Have to say I really don't understand it when the journos complain about Ducatis being uncomfortable.

If you're comfy you aren't alive....:bouncy:

Last year I believe he did Magny Cours WSB after a jaunt around Germany, Italy, France etc.
Amazing

Ha! was going to ask if I could claim the highest 4V mileage around here, but was going to wait until I'd clocked 50,000m (just under 40,000 now, and will be doing a longer commute starting Monday: bike bought new Jan 2002).

Furthest I've done in a day was 620 to Highlands this summer. Can't honestly say I find the 748 uncomfortable, provided you're not crawling along in traffic. On the open road, or even motorway, I find it fine.

And I'm an old git, too!

I find my 748 a fantastic bike: Have done a couple of 2000 mile round trips to the south of France - including the summer before last when we rode back 2 up in full leathers in 43ºC (the air at 100mph+ was still like an oven....)

Only problem - a split in the water header tank behind the bars..........

Mind you, it was interesting when the car I was overtaking along a tree lined 'A road' decided he was also going to overtake the car in front at the same time!

I went to assen for the GP ! and then on to the ring from there we did the swiss alps and on last day did 695 mls back to the boat and 210 home from dover "long" day took us 16hrs but the last 100miles HURT

But then i am MAD ;)

only probs with bike was both rear bulbs blew and i lost a screw out of the seat unit!:smug:

The answer is simple, if you gave up the killer weed, you would no longer have to "pop to the shop for me fags" thereby doing everyone a great favour.

There, now aren't you glad I had a speare 10 mins to peruse the DSC site!?

Dr Tim
if you want to know what really happens to the majority of smokers, I can recommend "It's not about the Bike" - fanbloodytastic book - Lance Armstrong. You'd never smoke again if you read this book and have a family.

Move from the killer weed to the chiller weed then :D

You might get uncomfortable but you won't be arsed to do anything about it
