Just a thought that might help when it's cold and the battery might not quite have enough in it to start the bike - I stand astride the bike, feet on the ground and shake the bike side to side - like you're warming your tyres standing still - it seems to shake up the acid and get a little more current to start the engine. This has even worked when I've had that ominous cough that says it's not going to turn over. Hope this helps you cold starters.

Thanks Webcore, It's worth a try in future. In fact I think it's probably more help giving it a shake prior trying to start it than the usual kicking I give it when it won't.

Well funny

I have a dead battery at the moment and am about to put the sealed variety from the 998 as I bought a replacement a few months ago to kep for the 998 but now te 748 seems to be in more need than the 998 one, even though the 998 has a Meta alarm on it to drain it?

So does more ah mean more cranking power?
