I hope he goes well ,but win the Ama in his first year is a bit much , but then rumor has it he got 1.5million so is he really that worried !
Not sure if thats sterling or $ !

Rattler 18-Jan-2005 10:17

Good luck to the fella - any Brit who goes to the US to "kick butt" should be encouraged I reckon.

I'm not sure I like his personality too much, but all power to him!!!

Jimbob 18-Jan-2005 10:53

Should've stayed in Motogp! He had one crap year and has taken the soft option by going back to a domestic championship on a bike he knows inside and out.
Another Fogarty me thinks. Can't do anything on any other make of bike.
A big cop out!

Jimbob 18-Jan-2005 11:04

Well excuse me for having an opinion!

And what useless part are you talking about anyway?!

Jimbob 18-Jan-2005 11:19

So your telling me he had no offers whatsoever to stay in Motogp.

And I do have a valid reason to slate him because he did have a monumentally shite year and by his own admission he was scared of the bike and that is'nt the right mind to have if you want to take on the best in the world on the best bikes.

Simon Reed 18-Jan-2005 11:31

No ones a more loyal hodgy fan than me,but,i think he's a got a mountain to climb personally !! Mladdin,Zemke,Duhammel,Aaron Yates,& Eric Bostrom will all be there, then theres the reliability question,Bostrom didn't finish Daytona last year,he blew up !! & there circuits are more demandin than ours or most of the europeans !!

You've just got to hope & pray he does it, & i hope he does, but it won't be easy.

desmojen 18-Jan-2005 11:31

Well said Weeksy :sing:

Hodgson rules, I hope he wins this year in America. I think he's in with a good chance! :frog:

Jimbob 18-Jan-2005 11:44

I'm not denying the fact that he was fast and he did out qualify the works dukes on some occasions and to be fair he did suffer some mechanical problams, but if he could've had one more year in motogp on the duke or any other bike in a satelite team or whatever I think he would've improved ten fold. It would've led to a full on works ride somewhere.

He hasn't had enough time in the class to develop.

There was a rumour that Suzuki were interested, but obviously that never came off.
