Yep, my set up isn't too bad considering overall costs but I don't have any decent fottage to show you at the moment ;) Consists of a proper Sony bullet cam and an Archos hard drive recorder with a 20gig drive in it. Quality is more than acceptable for my uses. Not as good as a DV cam due to the lower resolution, but at less than £200 for the recorder (along with all it's other uses) I'm not complaining. Quote:

Now why is it that I don't believe you somehow? More likely to be indecent!:D |
You ever played hide the bulletcam? |
No, but I'd love to see the footage! |
I'll ask her this weekend :D :P |
Do you mean the 480 TVL -- 21CW[SHR] bullet camera? The high res version (£125) runs at PAL : 752(H)X582(V) which is the same resolution as most DVDs are ripped/produced at. It's far past the quality of the average TV. The low res version (£88) runs at PAL: 500(H)X582(V). I can't find them anywhere but http://www.helmet-cameras.com/helmet_cam_pal.htm http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/sony_colour_ccd.htm and they're probabily the same company. Also note, these are wired cameras which improves the quality but makes them hard to stick in obscure places... sorry Felix ;) The only thing that would let that down would be the recorder. That archos records in 512x384 but its very expensive... £300~. With anything, you get what you pay for... |
