The mrs had not ridden for a year untill yesterday.
But we have had the bike for three years and she has always found it heavy.
It is harder than my 996.

Perhaps she needs to do more hand exercises

I used to have a 1995 M600, so know exactly what that bitch of a clutch is like :o

No simple fix for this on early monsters, as the clutch slave is built into RHS engine case and your stuck with the M/cyl ratio too. One thing that does help a bit is fitting a span adjustable lever set, as the standard fixed levers are a bit of a stretch for short pinkies. Another possibility is fitting a braided steel line, which although not reducing the effort required may make the action shorter or more positive.

Other than that it's a swap to later monsters with the revised LHS clutch slave set-up, which can be upgraded as with 748/916/996 etc...

With a lower-torque 600 I don't think you'll get any slippage (try it by accelerating in top gear) if you remove every other clutch spring. It'll give you half the clutch lever effort.

Cheers shazaam.

Might try that.

I think it will slip like a goodun with only three springs in it :o
