Got me one of them, and a nasty little weimaraner too.

and a police monitored alarm ( ADT), definitely worth having. It's been triggered twice in the last couple of years and I've had a police car on the drive within 10 mins both times.

Siren can't be heard outside the house so if they're in the garage, they're nicked :)

true story this one --mate of mine had a rottweiller when he and his wife were out at work he was shut in the kitchen (the dog)- burglar decides to try and break in by smashing back door window and reaches in to unlock the door the rottweiller attaches himself to the arm that came thru the window a good game of tug of war ensued with said burglars arm being somewhat damaged by the broken glass after about 15 minutes dog got bored and let go ,burglar collapses out side on the patio wifey comes home approx two hours later to find the dog covered in blood immediate thought was that the dog had seen the nieghbours cat outside and tried to get thru the window to the cat she takes the dog to the vet to get stitched up but the vet never found any cuts on the dog so she returns back to house about an hour later to find the burglar barely conciuos on the patio laying in a somewhat very large pool of blood -- police and ambulance arrived and removed the burglar from the property-- but the story has a happy ending after a course of anti-biotics and tetanus and hepatitus b injections the dog was fine and no worse for his ordeal as for the burglar"who gives f***"

Obviously ive only made this up, but i went once to a "burglary in progress" type call. The occupants had come home to find their property being burgled. The owner had caught the offender with his bang and olufson on the patio. After what appeared to be something of a good kicking the owner called the powers that be. I arrived to find the offender pinned to the lawn with a pool cue between his legs!
Turns out that jonny burglar had picked on a Mr Big of the underworld! Bad choice of house to burgle!!

Collapsed on the patio?

What a cheek! I would have told the b*****d he had two days to get off my patio or I call the police.
