I put his name in msn.com and came up with the DSC - that part is at least legit. |
Something just doesnt smell quite right about this one... |

Believe it or not, my IP address from the forum register will reveal and verify that it stems from Houston and not from a fake Oladehinde Idowu. I know it sound unbelievable that a person linked to fraudulent practice will show his true face, but the question is what will be the gain of somebody who is not affected by the matter to speak out. While would anyone care about the name of someone else. It is my name at risk, and my reputation is at stake, so I care very much than it may be imagined. I am the owner of the name being illegally used, I was born in Nigeria and studied in Germany. Also I am an activist, I am a poet (visit www.poetry.com and search for Oladehinde as first name), I am CompTIA A+ and Network+ Certified Professional ….. I am real! Those who think they stand, beware lets the fall! Identity theft is a real issue, and it is very disheartening to me most especially. Peace |
Can smell a rat somewhere! |
The posting IP address checks out as part of Grande Networks, San Marcos, Texas. The postings referred to by Rally and basically the same article pasted all over the net (on different sites) warning people of this particular scam. Other websites that are linked to the same scam are akron-bike.com and scorpionbikes.com. All these domains are registered through Easyspace - presumably because it's cheap! There's no verification when purchasing .com domain names that you are who you claim to be - anyone can buy a domain name and providing you link it to an active email address, the postal address/name becomes virtually redundant. Hence it's easy to put another persons name against a web domain. Rather than continuing with this 'witch-hunt' against an individual, perhaps we should be content with reporting the ebay entries to the relevant authorities and continue to be vigilent against similar scams. This forum is not the only place that Dehinday has posted the same refute. If Dehinday is real and has been the victim of identity theft, he is the best person to address it. |
Just a thought ! how do we know that this guy isn't stealing ours?;) |
Webteam - thanks for checking. I guess I'm a nasty suspicious person :P ;) |
Webteam and guys - many thanks for all your input. I dont think we are being too cautious as protecting this website and ourselves (I think - IMHO) is a higher priority than trying to do Ebay's detective work for them.... Even if we do seem to be quite good at it! I'm sure we all feel sympathy that an individual has been maligned in this way but, I dont think it is in our or the DSC's interests to try and persue this any further than we have. We are - after all - a motorcycle club just trying to do a little bit of good as go. Regards - Frank |
