I've used Wonder Wheels on my crankcases and it seems to work well.

Chan cleaner work good for me, but the cans are about £6 a piece. What I do now is use engine cleaner, degreaser, I got a 5 letter tub for £11 it makes cleaning the 748 easy .;)
