Oooh, how pedantic you can be, Loz. Still, that's probably how you passed your test first time, isn't it!

Anyone who is anyone failed hers the first time when the examiner slammed on the brakes 2 minutes into the route.:lol::lol:

On the subject of examiners

The first manouevre I had to do was parallel parking.

I perform the deed, pleased with my effort, and look at the examiner - he says, "Are you done, then?" in a quizzical voice.

D'OH!

I was certain for most of the test that I'd failed!

:( :barfy:  :bouncy:

Oi Ruth! I bought Mrs Jools a Smart car!

Initially it was against my better judgement, until I actually sat in one and drove it. Then I started to think...hmmmm, yeah, makes sense for somebody who doesn't like driving much, only has a 3 mile journey to work and the odd trip into town to bash the credit card.

Nowadays, I find myself grabbing the keys whenever I've got a bit of nipping about to do because it's so much fun to drive

FUN?????????

Your clearly suffering from motorbike withdrawal symptoms if you can think driving one of those is FUN?????

I had this whole conversation with Magpie when he was driving me to the BHC Christmas lunch in his Porsche Boxster!
His Mrs has a Smart Car and he agrees with you about them.

It's a disease! It must be STOPPED!

Well done Loz, handy for those track day moments where you can stuff the bike in the back of a van to get it home.
Kev.

Congratulations Loz!
First time as well heh?! Welcome to the world of traffic jams.

Loz 22-Feb-2005 15:04

Thanks Kev - is the van your present to me for passing? Cheers, mate! :D

Actually, sod buying a car, I'm getting a van! (Unless I can get a specially-modded, long wheelbase SMART car, that might be good too.)

OK Roof - if this Sunday is too yucky to take the bikes out for fun to the Surrey meet, pop over & come for a spin in the nut mobile - and stay for a spot of lunch:cool:

Its like an outsiders view of the Ducati - you either love it - or hate it - no middle ground at all:lol: (I luv it, Al hates it!:o )

Thanks Alan. I've seen traffic jams - what happens when you're in car, then?
