Hello

Thankyou Kev sorry one other thing is there a chance it would of blown the regulator/rectifier? I can test it on a multimeter?

I doubt if it would harm the reg/rec, the connections are poor and as such are resistive as they deteriorate they get more resistive and as the bike tries to draw more current through them they then over heat and turn into the mess in your pictures.

Thanks mate, I have already cut the block out fresh wires to connect up in the morning to bloody cold in the garage now thats my lot.

I know what you mean about being cold out in the garage, started the day with a bit of tyre changing and then wheel swapping on the 916 before moving onto the 600SS to remove parts ready for taking the engine out. Then when Senna3 turned up it was time to get the leathers on and take a ride over to Fox's, had to take it easy as the tyres were pumped up a bit harder than standard to make sure they sealed on the rims and are waiting for me to set the prssures with the gauge I use when at race meets.
certainly looking forward to some warmer weather preferably dry. :P
