Isn't it just the 916SP3 that came with the bigger crankcase mouths so the 955 kit could be added just like the factory did with 200 of them for the American market to homologate them |

Weird this desire to be different isn't it? I've only got an ST2, but I do manage to punt it around quite respectably in the fast group and it's great fun. If I had my head screwed on, I would keep it just the way it is (or return it to standard), flog it and get a faster bike! But, there is a little voice inside my head :rodent: that tells me a tweaked up ST2 would be a real hoot. I keep thinking about the testarossa heads that Paul Mort got fitted to his Bloo Duke - just over 100bhp and more torque than a 996 from an aircooled two valver. Then there's the possibility of taking it up to 980 cc. etc, etc... By the time I've done all that though it would have cost me an arm and a leg...much more money than the £1500 for the 999 Testastretta lump on eBay at the moment...ooohh....there's a thought :devil: |
