If going for magnesium, I cannot recommend Dymag highly enough. Great product, quality and - most important for magnesium - after sales for inspection/repair etc. Budget for about a £1000 new.
I've got black 3 spokes on my SP3 - definitely improved the handling.

I've got a set of 5 spoke factory allow wheels from a ST4s if you're interested. Am in OZ though so not sure on postage. They have 25mm bearings front and rear.

A 2000 model year Monster wheel fits straight in, see picture of my 888 at Assen last weekend. The wheel is about 0.5kg lighter than the original.

I have just purchased an original set of Machaccini's (not sure of correct spelling) Brand new from Pro twins. I think they have another set .

Thanks to all for your help on this quest...

Unfortunately, I've again twisted my damaged knee and have thus shelved plans for any upgrades .... In fact, I think I'm going to have to sell my lovely SP4, due to inability to ride her any more....:( :(

Cheers lads

If anybody on here is interested in a nearly mint, full historied bike, feel free to get in touch...
