I only weigh 65 kg and the Ti termi can is quite a few kg lighter than the steel can. i think its a bit too light and am going to swap it for 68 - 70 ish i think, need to know how much 15mm of spring preload equates to in spring weight. I'd prefer to have spring at full extension so I can run more preload if I'm at a track day but want a soft road setup rest of time. |
What you need is the Ohlins remote preload adjuster ;) Non of this C-Spanner nonsense, no scraping knuckles trying to get in around the pipes etc |

yeah i read that and used it as a guide for ride height although quite why they say lower front when you can steepen head angle i'm not sure. Dropping forks through does make a hugh difference though. I'm always reluctant to accept preload and damping settings, i tend to ride on bumpy roads not a race track so need a more comfortable setting which is usually softer and with little rebound to stop it packing down as you go through a series of different size bumps. The Ohlins website has some useful stuff. The following pdf's cover most of it Ohlins fork manual Ohlins rear shock Set up guide Ohlins tuning [Edited on 20-5-2005 by Gizmo] |
