Hmm,
I ordered mine from Allens, when they finally arrived they cost more than originally quoted (verbally) and without any cables/twist grip.
The cables eventually supplied were far too short to work properly, but as of yet I haven't been able to get a reply from the makers at MotionPro about what length they should be.

Oh, and then if like me you want to use split rather than twin-carbs you have to relocate the battery, coils, solenoid and breather as well as getting new filters.................

Of course you might be a jammy git and get them for free too

Yes - it's a complete set (not split) with the throttle included :D

antonye 31-May-2005 15:45

And don't worry - they won't be fitted for Combe either as we haven't had the dyno time to get them setup properly.

They will be in for Snetterton though, so hopefully we'll be nipping the heels of the 620s!

I read on the Cycleworks site about places selling them cheaper but without the proper throttle linkages and everything. My set are from a 750ss so should be a relatively easy install.

thats why i gave up on mine paul couldnt get the right spares to stop them leaking ive put them on the shelf for the winter time plus the throttle that i acquired was too small for the SS bars-- ah well thats what you get for thinking you got a "bargain" from the breakers-- am staying with the stage two route for now its not so lumpy and delivers smoother- with k+n pods inside the open airbox maybe later --any body know anything about these??

I was trying to find the links to the website with the relocated coils and stuff which may give you some hints Paul, but I'm buggered if I can find it now!

I've also seen a bike with the K&N pods, but this completely removed the airbox. In fact, they may actually be one and the same article.

Frank will be along in a minute with a link .... ;)

you can do the pod filters thing by retaining the original battery box and cutting off the unwanted airbox bit --i think?-- but i havent got spare air box to try it!!!!!!

airbox?

whats an airbox? - we just use ours as a catch can:o

I have put 39mm flatslides on my 900ss - they greatly improve response, power and fuel consumption - only downside is starting fom cold with no choke can be a bit fiddly.

Iconic944ss 01-Jun-2005 16:33

A fully sorted set just went on Ebay for almost £440 !!!

Actually MORE tham the new cost from Ca-Cycleworks (but the dreaded shipping and duty has to go on top).

Frank

(hee hee and if the 41mm are better still - I'm more convinced I want 'em!)
