Ant,

great write up mate ....

TP 08-Jun-2005 13:04

Wow - what a write up.

Bummer about all the bad luck mate, makes mine seem like good luck!

Just to make sure the mockers are on sufficiently, I expect nothing but a top 6 from you on your home track.

:D

dickieducati 08-Jun-2005 13:12

Great write up Antonye

Your cheery face all day Saturday belied the problems you encountered, it wasnt until I saw your swollen hand that anything looked amiss! Hope to see you fit and well again soon :biaggi:

Col996s 08-Jun-2005 13:58

Great report Ant. Sorry you had such bad luck.
I couldn't make Castle Combe but hope to be cheering you on at the next meeting.
How's the arm now?

Felix 08-Jun-2005 13:59

Wow, what a write-up! Just about every racer you care to ask, who has done a season's or so of racing, will have very similar experiences. I know this isn't much of a consolation now, but everyone experiences the "highs and lows or racing" at one point or another. The highs are fantastic, the lows are very demoralising. You will have another high, though, and probably very soon. It's the nature of racing.

3 weeks ago at Cadwell, I had weekend like yours, save the trailer incidents, crashing in the warm-up, and finishing only 1 of 8 races (7 DNS). Contemplated chucking it all in for about a day or so. A week ago at our Donington round, our team swept the podium in the newcomers class. Much better than any happy pill.:D Much more addictive and expensive, though.

Best of luck at Snetterton.

P.S. What dust caps are you on about?

On the valves for the the wheels.

He was probably taking the **** again...

Felix 08-Jun-2005 14:43

Ah, OK. Don't the know the answer, but mine passed more than once without them. Sounds like you found a scrute who just passed his test!;)

antonye 08-Jun-2005 14:51

Lol! Yeah, probably. I think they were just trying to find something to fail the bike on because I'd said I would lump one of them, even though it was in jest.

Besides, Chi's bike went through with only one plastic dust cap on it anyway, so I think he was taking the ****.
