Nigel, I know your pain ..... you better put in for some more shifts mate .... :( |

Ericsson's stripped the rockers out already.. |
1 opening rocker , 1 closing ... same as me. Cost = # of rockers failed x £81 |
I too was going to guess 4, but I'll go for 3 - but I hope for Nigel that it is only 1 ! Good luck......... and let us know....... |
Well it turned out to be 2 opening rockers in the end with the advice that a closing one may be needed at the next service so i'm sort of happy and gutted at the same time :puzzled: was going to post a pic but you've all seen pictures of the buggers before so i wont . many thanks for the concern :) While i was there i asked about the price of a new middle and lower right hand fairing! I wished hadn't cos its pushing £500. Apart from the rockers everything else was ok which is nice :rolleye: so it looks like it's 748 for another year  JUST :rolleye: |
well all the above is pretty irrelevant now as i may have a new steed within the next week :( |
noooooo ... why ???? explain ???? |
Several things really Pietro I've had for three years enjoyed the company and the bike but I need a change. (of bike that is ;) ) I was quoted a book price of 3100 3400 for my bike with 11000mls on the clock mine has 18500 keep it for another year and it'll be worth Bugger all so i'm going for a px as they offered me a better price. Fairing middle and lower right hand side are junk can't afford to repair or buy a new one . Bills are catching up on me :rolleye: and to be honest I can't afford to keep up I've paid for a new sprocket an new clutch basket and plates and two rockers at £81 each and then there's the 18000ml service on top of that. What am i looking at a ZX7R Xreg with 3000 mls on the clock , a monster 600 , a cbr 6 and a ZX9r decision could be made tomorrow morning I need something more practical i need it for commuting and that would just kill it and push up the service costs |
thats fair shout mate, depending on the year my money would go on the CBR6, thats what I had before the Duke, couldn't fault it as an everyday tool you can also go out and play on .... zx7r a bit long in the tooth and the zx9r too lardy .... monster 600 gutless after the 748. good luck mate. |
7R 's the one I'd take. Similar chassis geometry to the 748, extremely stable yet capable, classic shape, easily tuned. probably the only bike from K I'd buy. |
