I suffer from (severe) hayfever and all year round asthma...(nebulizer the works...sigh!) Hayfever cure is a clever little nasal spray called Flixonase...I think it can only be prescribed in the dosage I have but can be bought over the counter in a smaller dosage. Works only when taken EVERY day through the hayfever season but I wouldn't be without it. I actually panic if I run too low and have to go a day whilst waiting for the prescription, because I know that the effects of the hayfever bring with it severe asthma attacks:( I have tried Triludan, piriton, piroton forte, benalyn allergy, optrex, the honey thing and various other stuff. Ive been taking this for about 4 years and is the only thing that has ever really worked. [Edited on 12-6-2005 by kwikbitch] |
Seasonal asthma for me for the last four years. First attack I had I was in the bathroom thinking this is it, death through lack of breath. Drove me self to hospital and told them I was dying they told me to blow in to the tube thing and said you should be dead already. They stuck me on the neb which was nice. They gave me one of the tubes and said if it gets to hear on the scale, come strait in. I get on the discs at the beginning of May and touchwood no more attacks. Some days, especially the stormy humid type days that we seem to get so much of, are the worst. Just no air not nice. :o |
yea ive got mild asthma, nothing like the nebulizer stuff tho, 1 of the worst feelings in the world having no breath, something that everyone takes for granted i think. Such a simple thing. /ian |
I thought I had a chest infection or something, couldn’t believe it when they told me it was asthma. Glad it’s all sorted out now. Its fast way to give up smoking Ill gives it that. I was going out in to the garden tacking deep breaths trying to get some air in me lungs, just making it worse, Scary stuff. |
Try the herbal remedy Luffa Complex. I used to suffer terribly with hayfever and read an article in the Daily Mail about Luffa Complex. I tried it about 5 years ago during the season and have not suffered since. http://www.thehealthierlife.co.uk/ar...treatment.html |
